COMMITTEES I 'N-110 These seven permanent committees form the backbone of our Student Council Without their efficient organization much time and energy would be wasted These committees are voluntary organizations composed of Student Council representa trves and each is headed by a chalnnan N V R H S enters into many activities and a record is kept by the Clipping Committee Clippings are entered Into a scrapbook and there preserved as part of Northern Valleys history lncomlng Freshmen and new students are supplied with handbooks published by the Handbook Committee These books contain valuable Infomation about our school and how it is nm The Program Committee IS responsible for planmng the activities of the Student Council throughout the year such as dances after basketball games ex change assemblies and the annual Christmas Dance The Executive Committee is composed of the officers of the Student Council as well as the Presidents of each class These capable persons plan the discussions for each meeting Keeping our school building and grounds clean IS a malor problem when there are almost a thousand in attendance The House and Grounds Committee is re- sponsible for putting up posters and advertising in other ways the need for student co-operation in keeping our school clean Each year new clubs are formed, and it is the duty of the Club Chartering Committee to see that the clubs admitted measure up to the standard set by the Student Council. The Finance Committee, headed by Janice McCarron, Student Council Treasurer, keeps the records of all Student Council financial ventures, and maintains the Council treasury.
