THE CLASS Here I am' Twenty five years after my high school graduation I m finally able to afford my long awaited trip around the world As I board the large strato cruiser what a surpnse to see a familiar face coming to meet me at the door Bunny Lowry one I had graduated with was serving as stewardess of the plane Seating myself near the front I heard excited voices behind me Turmng I dslcovered Lee Kreeger and Fernand Paillex on their way to the Olympics in Sweden They said they were being met at the airport in Stockholm by Ed Erickson now enloylng a leisurely life since retiring from the Air Force When I landed In Dover England I found Doug Johnson s Taxi Service ready to take me to the hotel On the way Doug told me of the spectacular one hundred story building lust constructed under the supervision of Roy Stevenson Tony Whiting and George McClain now the most famous engineers of their decade Visiting the beautiful building I found John Heidelmeler and Jim Castellano running a new large Import and Export Company Their private secretaries Louise Bettega and Louisa Van Nahl seemed to be doing very competent work I was shocked to see Ray Frosco and Jim Provitera stretched out in the lounge literally soaking up the millions running their luxurious hotel I went to my room and turned on the radio and relaxed to the voice of William Wilson England s most prominent disc lockey trying to sell Gregory Curtin s N ergetlc tablets A few days later I took the boat from Dover to Le Havre France On the boat I had a chance to talk with Richard Fuchs now a famous lawyer still protesting a case against the British Parliament I rented a car from Ted Kenny s U Drive It and drove on to Paris Needing a little freshenlng up I stopped at an attractive looking beauty salon where I found Judy DeWitt and Bernadette Kreppem keepmg wardrobe could use a little enhancing so I visited Diane Cade s House of Fashion where I found that Roslmd Emert designed the latest French fashions Feelmg a bit hungry I stopped at Gerry Lima s and Louise Lowe s Sidewalk Cafe I shared a table with two old friends James Craft and Brian Donahue now expanding their Amen can busmess to France After spending a few days in Paris I took a plane for Cairo Egypt the next stop on my world tour Arriving in the Land of the Pyramids I took a cab to my hotel It was a surpnse to see two American millionaires George Bmaghu and Harry Dampf spendmg a six month vacation from their large corporation I had heard so much about the new modern American hospital here I decided I must see it A native Egyptian told me it had been built and designed by Roger Tamborlane Bruce Sweet and John Kramer and was one of the largest in the world My flrt stop was on the second floor which was turned over entirely to dentistry The head dentist was Dr Ira Urbach D D S with Diane Del Ben Jackie Chrlss and Joyce Parsells workmg as his medical secretaries On the fifth floor I encountered nurses Gail Beckmann Chris Anderson and Kathy lssula they mentioned I would not be able to see Dr Joel Greenspan as he was now operating wth the capable assistance of Donna Gllleo R N and Janice McCarron RN Stopping on the twentieth floor I discovered Carol Schaefer heading the Dletic Department and Donald Maurer workmg in the Chemical Research Laboratory In another room I saw Tom Mead and Fred Ruger showing the latest heart disease films to a group of doctors On my way out I looked in on the huge busmess staff of the hospital occupy ing the entire first floor Among the secretaries were Diane Gugger Darlene Kren zer Deanna McGuire Gail Nlero Btty O Conner Janice Butwinski Pauline Parsells . . . , . - . . . - . PROPHECY Lrnda Pederson Terrre Domaglaskr May Farrfreld and last bust not least Brenda Furman Leavrng Carro the followrng week I stepped aboard my plane for Indra I was told of mrllronorre Rrchre Drckow recoverrng from an ulcer operatron well tended by hrs perky Irttle nurse Ellen Harms What a surprrse to run rnto Judy Rrha servrng as a forergn correspondent here rn Indra for a promrnent New York News paper Gary Wrlbur Russ Calurr and Ed Wulff seemed to be dorng an excellent rob rnstallrng Indra s frrst underground telephone cables After a pleasant week here I prepared for my ocean voyage to Australra Durrng the trrp I had fun remrnrscrng wrth Barbara Peck now a famous crrmrnal lawyer She told me of seerng Barry Manner not too long ago and that he was now a wrld Irfe conservatronrst rn Afrrca Our days were made even more enroyable by Ruth Endres who was servrng as socral and recreatronal drrector of the shrp I had a nrce game of shuffle board whrle talkrng to Frank Roth now on hrs way to Australra for the stock car races Before I knew rt I had arrrved rn Australra lust rn trme to see a beautrful naval drsplay Among the Amerrcan offrcers I saw John Zrrnskr Tom O Nell Ken Proske Roy Ray Vrc Aqurno Bob Ellrs and Ed Grannottr My fmances runnrng low I decrded to stop at the Internatronal Bank where I saw Jrm Fullerton dorng the effrcrent rob of managrng rt Workrng rn the executrve offrce were Betty Smrth Laura Cosseta Bev Craft and Carolyn Infuso My funds replenrshed I decrded to prck out some Irght werght clothes before takrng off for Hawarr Upon hearrng that George James was the owner of the largest department store rn Sydney I decrded I would do my shopprng there George told me that Mary Lou Wardell was hrs head commercral artrst and also that Russell Gorra the now emrnent archrtect had desrgned the extremely modem burldrng Boardrng the plane the. followrng day I was agarn on my way Thrs trme headed for Hawarr After I arrrved wantrng some excrtement I planned an evenrng at one of Honolulus famous nrght clubs owned by Bob Bangs As I entered I heard the famrlrar vorce of Paul De Nora enchantrng the quret audrence Accom panyrng hum was one of the most promrnent dance bands rncludrng Roy Gugger on trumpet and Frank Lanzana on the saxophone Havrng spent an enloyable week and a half there I was soon on my way to South Amerrca After I landed rn Rro de Janerro and was settled rn my hotel I met Joan Hoefflrn who was stayrng at the same hotel as I She rnformed me that a new educatronal advancement program was berng conducted throughout South Amerrca Some of the teachers who were a part of thrs program were Beth Stamoulrs a physrcal educatron teacher Carol Gerry Bernadrne Iafrate and Barbara Moore elementary school teachers Peter Troell Krrstr Carlson and Pat Munz math teachers Jean Hart and Joan herself Englrsh teachers My vacatron frnally termrnated Ireturned home thoroughly satrsfred wrth my rnterestrng lourney A few days after my arrrval I heard from Pat Issler a nurse at Englewood Hosprtal that Grnny Grazroso Barbara Bocchrno and Joanne Accordrno were all happrly marrred Readrng the New York paper that same evenrng I was not surprrsed to read that Audray Jennrngs was to star as Lady MacBeth rn the Broadway productron of MacBeth When remrnrscrng about my lourney I was happy to frnd so many of my class mates well and prosperous 1 1 1 . . . . , . .. . .. . . .
