FUTURE TEACHERS CLUB This club, for students who were interested in becoming teachers, belonged to the Na- tional and State organizations for Future Teachers' Clubs. The organization assisted these stud- ents to learn about colleges and to choose the right college, by informing them about all phases of teaching. ADVANCED MATH CLUB Wednesday morning club peri- od found a small group of iuniors and seniors reviewing mathema- tics with Miss Reece. The maiority of this group planned to take College Boards in math. Miss Reece gave all sorts of formulas for doing math quickly. Geometry review was a maior part of the work done. Standing: J. MAJORETTE CLUB Under the supervision of Mr. Brown, Lori Vollmer, the Head Maiorette, trained the future Northern Valley maiorettes by teaching them basic twirls. The girls, freshmen and sophomores, met on Thursday afternoons for their twirling sessions. The neces- sary qualifications for member- ship were the following: loose wrists and a good sense of rhythm. V---Q CHEERLEADING CLUB The Cheering Club, which was formed in the spring, consisted of girls who were interested in improving their cheering ability. Under the supervision of Miss Schneider, and with the assistance of the Varsity and Junior Varsity Cheerleaders, the members pre- pared themselves for the try-outs for next year's cheerleaders at the end of the year.

HlY Under the supervision of Mr. Howarth, the Hi-Y endeavored to create and maintain a high stand- ard of Christian character. The club's purpose was to serve not only the school but also the world. Some of the club's activi- ties included ushering at basket- ball games, and sponsoring a Hi-Y vs. faculty basketball game, in the future the Hi-Y hopes to promote a world project. Standing: Mr. J.
