'LILJ ,I Mr. Frank J. Hurley, Superintendent TO THE CLASS OF 1956 ln the future, occasions must arise when heavy with the cares of life or burdened with the weight of age, we shall long to recall the happy and cloudless days of high school. Then we can forget for the time, distress or perhaps relieve our hearts sad- dened with grief, by reviewing the scenes of our youth, the faces we once knew, the pride-giving deeds of our teens. Truly, we shall find between the covers of this volume a source of enioyment and refreshment. F. J. Hurley Superintendent Q3 17' Mr. Donald T. Duff, Vice Principal TO THE GRADUATES OF 1956 Probably never again will you be making history with so many firsts . Memories of these firsts will never leave you. Your lifelong obligation, however, is also clear. As graduates you become our first alumni to ioin the many citizens of our district who brought this school into being. The faculty and administration entreat you to continue to follow the events of your school, to boost its program, to participate in its citizen activities, and to be proud always of the traditions which had their beginnings in your first and last year of attendance at Northern Valley.
