xA -'wx Vie fl 1592 I 'T ...f Offices perform valuable services Don Vogt, Dean of Students, served as supervisor of the Student Personnel Offices. As Director of Student Activities at NSC, Dr. Richard Cinclair was advisor and co- sponsor of the Social Affairs Committee, Big Name Entertainment Committee, and Student Senate. Myrle Hanson, Dean of Men, handled the proceedings necessary for any student finan- cial aid. R. Elizabeth Wray served as Dean of Women. She was the advisor for many organ- izations on campus. Business Manager William Krikac and Associate Business Manager Milton Dervvald were in charge of the college funds. Dr. Lloyd F. Johnson served as Assistant Director of Administrative Services. Frank Gellerman served as Associate Director of Placement. Russa Osborne, Manager of the College Bookstore, supplied students with textbooks and necessary supplies and materials. Bernard Daschel served as director of the Memorial Union. Ralph Johnson, director of the physical plant, supervised all building and remodeling done on Northern's campus. The Division of Language and Litera- ture added a Speech Correction major this spring. A sound suite was installed in Seymour Hall for use in the speech correction clinic. Also, a special stage technician was hired. , Students involved with the Medical Technology program of the Division of Science and Math spend an internship with affiliated hosptials. With additional lab facilities, the department has been able to implement new approaches to strengthen course offerings. The Division of Business Education and Secretarial Science was renamed the Division of Business. The Division of Industrial Arts and Safety Education now has a teaching minor in Driver and Safety Education in addition to the regular Industrial Arts program. ln the Industrial Arts area, new equipment has been added in the metals area and welding.
