Barb lVlonzel, presidentg Karen Wehrkamp, vice- pledge trainer: Lorrie Erickson, treasurer: Linda Judy Stoebner, Bonnie Mehlbrech, Cindy Frink, Wehrkamp, Lorrie Erickson, Linda Weisner, Joni Alpha Xi Delta initiates members as organization receives charter Alpha Xi Delta, one of Northern's relatively new organizations, began func- tioning as a club in December of 1969 and initiated charter members on NSC's campus in December of 1970. Several trips were made to Redfield State Hospital were Alpha Xi Delta members participated in recreational activities, such as bowling and swim- ming, with the residents. Cooperation with Spurrettes and other women's organizations in co-spon- soring Jim Braun Dime Day was another of AXD's service proiects. Ushering at several Big Name con- certs was another activity of Alpha Xi Delta. ln charge of these activities was Barb lVIonzel, the first president. Sigma Tau Gamma members, Doug Peterson and Mike Pritchard, were welcomed at the formal initiation ceremony of Alpha Xi Delta held in the Union Ballroom. ALPHA XI DELTA
