Women's group sponsors events, provides tuition scholarship fund The Association of Women Students scheduled a number of events for mem- bers during the school year. Among these were the Big Little Sis picnic held the first week after the beginning of school and a style show held during Freshmen Orientation Week. Plans for the Sweetheart Ball were also made by AWS members in February. Dad's Day was held in late February, while the lVlother-Daughter Tea was scheduled for lVlay. AWS was a co-sponsor of the Miss NSC pageant held in the spring. Decorations and refreshments for Sno Sho Part ll were provided by AWS mem- bers to help SAC in their night club atmosphere. A tuition scholarship was presented to Sandy Koch as a regular part of the AWS annual activities. Since AWS had all NSC women as members, their purpose was to promote unity and loyalty among all women students.
