Wtth shtmng, eager eyes they troog ed mto the ftrst class meettng and came out w1th teeth bared and eyes ghttertng. Ftnally after a few more explostve clashes they dectded on the followtng offtcers Prestdent Dav1d Palmatter Vtce Presldent Paul Cady Secretary Floy Mtller Treasurer Hoddy Ordway ASSISIAIII Advlsor Mr Blxby Hard on the heels ofthat dectston came the Freshman ln1t1at1on After those two days of hecttc fun the semors took thetr hats off to the spunky mnth graders who had as much fun as they d1d Soon came magaztne sales Chrtstmas card candy and novelty sales Many semors attended Ruth Dexter s weddtng on December 29th when she became the brtde of Wtlltam c tetgart Early tn January they were pleasantly surprtsed when the marrlage of Eldon Prtce and K1tty Carpenter was announced The sentors sponsored a Sock Hop on the Luth of February tn the new gyrnnaslum. On the 22nd they splurged the Mtd Wtnter Ball a serm formal dance open to the publtc Agam they started a magazlne and card campa1gn shared w1th the Jumors and sophomores They also sold note paper decorated w1th a sketch of the new school buxldtng, Most of the semors parttctpated tn County Chorus or County Band or both on the lst of May O1 May 3rd they held thetr Sen1or ,Tumor Banquet and Prom the long awatted occas1on of the year The last week of May was so hecuc they d1dn t have ume to feel sad about leavtng school and old fr1ends Baccalaureate servtces were held on the 26th and on Wednesday the 29th came the mght they had all alternatel longed for and dreaded for twelve years graduatton S1tt1ng very solemnly and feehng, terrtbly tmportant and lonely they recetved thetr dlD1Om3S A few evenmgs later they held thetr class mght one last chance to show off They left on ,Tune 2nd for Washtngton, D C , and one last Fhnq before thev all went thetr Separate waus 23 .- A.
