Long dry spell breaks wheat crop near record Much of the Northern area of Oklahoma is dependent on the annual wheat crop for a financial base. r Because ofthe importance of t the crop, manyof Northern's students are sent to college by yearly incomes their families receive from the harvests or by the good summer wages that can be earned in the harvests. It was a good year for wheat, it was a good year for those who worked with the wheat and thus in the long run it was a good year for the college. Gflntroduction
