If t OF QJC THE PRIDE OF NORTHERN Miss Navona Kennedy, a graduate of Northern herself, is completing her first year as instructor of the Mavettes. ln addition to Miss Kennedy, other sponsors of the girls drill team are Dr. V. R. Easterling and Dean Pearl Ramsey. The Mavettes of NOJC represent the college in marching and precision drill performance at our campus and across the state of Oklahoma. They ap- peared in homecoming parades at Northwestern and at OSU. The Mavettes was organized in 1958 and has a membership of over thirty Northern coeds. They spend many hours in practice on their routines.
