Spanish Club After a year's absence, the Spanish Club has once again been formed on the campus. It is composed of students who are taking, or have taken a course in Spanish. The object of the club is a better understanding of the language and customs of our: Spanish speaking neighbors. The Thespian Club is one of the most Active organizations on the campus. This organiiation is open to anyone interested in dramatics. During the first semester the Thespian Club entered the Homecoming Float Contest and won second prize, 815, for its beautiful white swan. Later the club presented a onefact play Quimby Comes-Across for assembly. On January 16, 1951, the club presented Aunt Emma Sees It Through, under the direction of Glenn Blakemore, speech instructor. Ollicers for the year were: Margaret McCinty, President: Helen Conaghan, Vice-Presidentg Margaret Dean, Treasurerg Colleen Lanie, Secretary. Clifford Schilling replaced Colleen Lanie as Secretary during the second semester.

Its activities this year include: playing at all home football games, presenting two assembly programs, and going on tours to several surrounding high schools. Each spring the band presents a formal concert and plays for the Baccalaureate and Commencement exercises. Also, during the spring, hand members are hosts to visiting high school hands at the district music contest. Several members of the band have been featured soloists during the year. They are: Joe Rash, Charles Liegerot, Mary Lou Gorman, Barbara Huffman, Dale Ortloff, ,Iune Hooker, and Elma Jean 0'Mealey.
