Literatae is one of the oldest and most active organizations on the campus. Founded in 1906, it is a cultural organization for N.0.I.C. girls. The programs this year consisted of music, literature, and art. Special events sponsored by the organization included the appearance of special guest speakers, and a formal dance at which Jimmie Wulz, Hunter freshman, was crowned Lit- eratae Sweetheart. Another activity sponsored by the club was the management of concessions for the highschool Basketball Tournaments. Miss Sara Ballenger was the organizations sponsor, this year. -5'

The Thespian Club is one of the most Active organizations on the campus. This organiiation is open to anyone interested in dramatics. During the first semester the Thespian Club entered the Homecoming Float Contest and won second prize, 815, for its beautiful white swan. Later the club presented a onefact play Quimby Comes-Across for assembly. On January 16, 1951, the club presented Aunt Emma Sees It Through, under the direction of Glenn Blakemore, speech instructor. Ollicers for the year were: Margaret McCinty, President: Helen Conaghan, Vice-Presidentg Margaret Dean, Treasurerg Colleen Lanie, Secretary. Clifford Schilling replaced Colleen Lanie as Secretary during the second semester.
