Mrs. Sternitzke is hostess of Markley Hall. Omcers first semester were President, Ed Tebowg Vice-President, Leo Owensg Secretary of Treasury, Charles Wulz. Olhecrs second semester were President, Bill Eckg Vice-President, Jim Wulzg Secre- tary of Treasury, Loy Bilderback. Markley participated in the Homecoming parade by preparing a float which won first. The theme of the float was on the order of a Chinese Sedan Chair. Threlkeld Hall , , ,, ..-.--1'-1 A l 1 First Semester Oliicers Threlkeld Hall, girls' dormitory on the N.O.J.C. campus, is supervised by Mrs. Alma Clark, house mother. First semester ollicers were Myrna Compton, president: Judy Sharp, vice presidentg Margaret Dean, secretary and Dorothy Worthington, social chairman. Second semester ollicers were .ludy Sharp, presidentg Elma Jean 0'Mealey, vice presidentg Margaret Dean, secretary and Christabell Baker, social chairman. , Threlkeld girls began the year's activities by sewing as hostesses to Marlcley Hall boys at a weiner roast. The Statue of Liberty was the theme presented hy the Threlkeld Hall Hoat in the Home- coming parade with the motto United We Stand embedded in colorsior red, white, and blue. In the past five years The Maverick has won four first place awards and two Medalist awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association and four All- American Honor Ratings from the Associated Collegiate Press of the University of Minnesota.
