Engineers Uluh llfficers The Engineers' Club, going strong after its reorganization in '49, started the year with election of ollicers for the first se mester. Oliicers-were Gerald Ortloff, President, Don Crummett, Vice President, Chester Reed, Secretary-Treasurer, and Bob Lee, Publicity Manager. Second Semester Officers are Bob Lee, Presidentg Don Crummett, Vice-Presidentg Chester Reed, Secretary-Trasurerg and Gerald Ortloii, Publicity Manager. After initiation of pledges, the Club's first project was building a fioat for the Homecoming Parade. Ruth Ann Frost, Ton- kawa Freshman, was elected Engineers' Queen and delegated to ride on the float. The Engineers' candidate for Round-Up Queen, Ruth Ellen Vernon, was chosen for the Royal Honor at the annual Round-Up dance. leading all other candidates in votes. The activities during the year included participation in intramural basketball and softball leagues. The Club spon- sored the traditional St. Pat's Dance. Club pledges were George Kerr, Dick Burger, Edwin Aden, Bill McCabe, Norman Martin, Ronnie Henry, Paul Clem- ents, Paul Moore, Wilbur Dudley, Harold Labyer, and Bob Pate. The Club was ably sponsored by Professor Mayo G. Shults, whose services were invaluable during the successful year.
