Each year, three members of every class are elect- ed to serve on the Student Council. Through these repre- sentatives students are given the opportunity to voice their opinions in the government of the school. The Stu- dent Council was organized for the purpose of promoting better relations between students and faculty. Holding regular meetings throughout the school year, the Council had one of its most active seasons. Stu- dent problems were solved, and Homecoming, one of the biggest projects of the year, was carried to a successful completion. The Council was the host to other Upper Pen- insula college councils during a two day conference per- iod during the first semester. This presented Council ,members with an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with those from other colleges. Student' Council f President-Bill Pearson gs . All those interested in any phase of theater, from curtain pulling to acting, are invited to be members of this club. On-stage parties after each production and a spring picnic are traditional doings in Masquers, although it is not primarily a social organ- ization.
