NOVAH OM A CLUB The Novahoma Club is comprised of those students enrolled in the Home Economics curriculum. Being affiliated with the Michigan Home Economics Association and the American Home Economics Association, it offers the student a wide opportunity to learn more about their subject. The club's activities began with a picnic to welcome the freshmen in the course who were later initiated into the club. The highlights of the year were the annual Christmas bazaar, Christmas dinner and a Guest Day during which the high school home economics students were the guests of the home economics students.of N.M.C.E. In early Spring some of the members attended Home Economics conven- tions held in Lansing and Detroit. Later, the seniors who were graduating were initiated into the American Home Economics Association during a formal candlelight ceremony.

MATHEMATICS CLUB The Mathematics Club, affiliated with the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, is open to all students majoring or minoring in that department. Most club meetings are devoted to discussions and demonstrations of new and improved methods of teaching mathematics. Some oi the meetings are designed to provide opportunities for becoming acquainted with other members of the department. Some of the other activities include the annual banquet in February and the department picnic held at the end of the school year.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB The Physical Education Club has as its aim better social and professional relationships among members of the department. This year members of the club have visited the Holy Family Orphange to teach games and rhythms to the children. As the Peninsulan goes to press, the Club is making plans to attend a national physical education conference at Indianapolis.
