GAMMA PHI ALPHA The Gamma Phi Alpha Sorority is celebrating its twenty-sixth birthday this year. The maintenance oi high scholastic standards, friendliness to all stu- dents, and the furthering of Northern's best interests are the chief objectives of this sorority. The annual rushing parties held by the sorority enable the Gam- ma's to become better acquainted with the new women at Northern and to help them to adjust to school. The events this year included the Coronation Ball, the dressing of a doll, the pledging ceremony, the four-sorority Christmas dance, the candlelight initia- tion, and the spring formal. The year's activities closed with a sorority picnic and outing.
