A well-played game resulted in a victory for us, 13-0. The last game of the season, and by far the most thrilling, was that played with Superior Normal, November 6, at the Fair Grounds. The highly touted WlSCOI1Sl11 team came here as the champion of its district, with victories over some of the best teams in the Badger state. Possessing a heavy, fast and brainy team, and coached under the Minnesota shift style of play, Superior offered the toughest kind of opposition. But consistent, heady line-plunging and great defensive work, resulted in four touchdowns for Northern while Superior was unable to tally. Score 24-0. It would be hard to pick out individual stars, but mention should here be given the team who so nobly upheld Northern's colors and played the game. May this Northern spirit of hold the line be a part of our future teams. RONBERG Allan Ronberg, center, a first year man from Negaunee, was a cool, heady player, a corking good passer, and a strong defense man. KILSDONCK Northern had another strong per- former in Kilsdonck, who has com- pleted his second year of competition. He was a halfback who was speedy and able to hit the line. I-IARDIMON A fast, strong and steady perform- er, with a knack of snagging forward passes out of the air, made him an important cog at right end in the 1926 machine. DBCOOK joe DeCook alternated at the center position with Ronberg. Great things are expected of him next fall, COLLINS Another Negaunee product was Doc Collins, who gave an admirable account of himself at the right guard position. GUSTAFSON Possessing the brains and the brawn, he saw action as a backtield man.
