Rxemersma M F Westmaas Advisor The student councxl met this year for the In-st time on October 19 1950 and chose Ray Brxnks 'or our president Jack Vredevoogd for vnce presldent and Barbara Vander Welde for secretary Each class elects thelr own representatxves The Freshmen elect one the Sophomores elect two and Jumors and Semors each elect three We meet weekly on Thursdays and occaslonally our presxdent calls a specxal meetxng Mr Westmaas IS usually present to advxse us ln malung our dec1s1ons So far thxs year the student counc1l has sponsored a combxned paper and scrap metal drxve the Chrxstmas card contest and has sent letters to all the young people of these commumtles asking them for donatmns for our gym floor. Pxckxng beans for our school was a lot of fun and also helped to bu1ld up the student fund. Other actxvxtxes carried out by the student council are the noon hour amuse ments and the clean up squad, whxch IS helpful 1n keepmg our school lookxng neat.
