IINZUZI 2627 Qgwn These are the golden days, the days spent in school. Lasting Friendships are being made, plans For the future are being laid, ideals are taking shape. Cherish and savor them For they will soon be memories that can only be stored in the mind. , Your school has done its utmost to produce healthy, upright, clear-thinking young men and women who as citizens of their school, com- munity, state, nation, and world will be willing to defend, maintain, and improve our American way of life., May you ever be willing to accept this challenge, and when later responsibilities come, be ready to accept them, thus bringing credit to yourself and honor to your school. My congratulations and best wishes to each one of you. Adam L. Snavely Supervising Principal

To the Members of the Class of 1968: You are about to set forth on a tremendous venture. As the date of commencement draws nigh, perhaps you will be awed with the realization that life for you will now become completely different. Close friendships will be broken, new goals must be set, significant respon- sibilities must be accepted, education of some kind must be continued, and a worthy contribution to society must be made. Enter this new chapter of your life with enthusiasm, with the determination to succeed in your life's work, with an abiding concern for your fellowman, and with a deep devotion for your country. Be alert. Be a builder for good. Beware ofthe doom peddlers. They have lost the faith in God and this nation. Their course leads to self-destruction. As you view the American scene perhaps all you see is riots, crime, and poverty and war, Thatthese problems exist is quite evident. That there is a continuing effort to eliminate these problems is a certainty. ln the shadow of these problems have you noticedthe shining accomplish- ments in science, medicine, education, and industry? Each year man has been able to achieve that which was seemingly impossible. Yes, there still are worlds to conquer. Perhaps you cannot win world renown, but you can win the respect of your fellowman if you work diligently, inspire those about you, and make a worthy contribution to your community. lt is my sincere hope that you meet the challenges of life with confidence and that you will be rewarded with success and happiness.
