The test of the worth of a high school is its graduating class. There are many tests by which to measure the excellence of an instructional pro- gram, but the one acid test is the mental training received by students who graduate There are many tests of character of social training of high school sp1r1t and of good citizenship that might be used in ludgmg the life of a high school but the supreme test IS the nature of the char acteristics acquired by the graduating class in their four years of study Some results of such testing are apparent in the senior class when its members graduate many results however do not become apparent until the seniors as alumni enter into the life of the outside world The great est tribute which an alumnus can pay his Alma Mater rs the tribute of a useful life a life of service and general worth which will cause others to inquire as to the factors which combined to make him what he has become In my opinion you the seniors who compose the Class of 1954 have received classroom instruction equal to that received by students in other high schools I sincerely hope that when tested in your future life and work you will justify this assumption thereby reflecting credit upon your Alma Mater HENRY WENGER l'U'lC 1,961 l0Ql'Ulf5U'lg I'U'lClI0a This school year has seen the results of many years of effort on the part of the citizens directors teachers and pupils in the northern sec tion of the county in bringing together the two high schools of this dis SOCCer team had phenomenal success in winning the county and district titles Your girls held hockey te im was the county ch tmprons Your band is strong New ende lxors sueh as the dance band have appeared Class Jackets and rmvs are now the same and your basketball baseball and track teams are now working in harmony Your class plaxs tend to introduce students in one sehool to the other All these thlnvs vull tend to strengthen the bonds of frie ndship and fellowship and in the end make a better and stronger commumtx W W ASPER , , , 0 o e o M, trict.
