Fifty T H E F o c U s June THOMPSON TELFORD A MAHN CUMMING Golf HIS sport, being a newcomer in the athletic ranks of Northern Illinois College, holds promise of developing into one of prime importance. The team members have been getting in practice whenever the weather permits and are anxiously awaiting the official opening of the season. We have all confidence that the team will be able to check up on the winning side. Plans are rapidly formulating for an in' trainural golf tournament. This is receivf ing enthusiastic support from our Presif dent, for Dr. Needles himself is an ardent golfer. All the men on the team graduate this June leaving the total responsibility for the next year on the shoulders of the underf classmen.

All the men have maintained an unusually high average. Although not as well organized as other sports in the college it is just a matter of time until bowling will receive complete and justified recognition. An intrafcollege championship is being organized for next year, the team repref senting the school to be chosen from those competing. All team members being Seniors the sucf cess for next year depends entirely on the undergraduates.
