We certainly missed having you around to join in the fun, but we know you were with us in spirit. Gradu- ation was really worth waiting for. Everybody turned out for the senior dinner dance, and we are sure that no one will ever forget it. All the fellows and girls looked so nice in their new suits and spring formals, and, oh, the music was simply heavenly. Dancing around the floor was so nice that we really hated it when the dance was over. We used to hate it when school dances broke up, but this time, leaving was worse than usual. The I. M. A. was crowded, but we could still see the decorations, and they were very pretty. The dinner was really swell, too. Such deli- cious food, you'd never have known rationing was in effect. We really enjoyed Cooper Mat- thews when he read the class will, and Dave Margolis added the necessary spirit to the read- ing of the prophecy. Senior award night gave all the deserving graduates their just dues. Slaving away dur- ing high school days seems a thankless job sometimes, but all the hard work contributed to the school during the three year stay was well rewarded that night. It made us feel pretty good just to be a part of such a wonderful program. Baccalaureate services were held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Reverend Otis S. lackson was the speaker. The service was very simple Row Two .' Lorraine Louise Yurk-Gene Raymond Zbiciak-I. A. Baseball '43, '44. I. A. , Russell R. We took time to pray that someday soon all the boys will be home again for good-boys who, in some cases, were called into the service of their country and didn't even get the chance to be here for the closing of school.
