Looking behind the scenes for a moment, one finds an important aspect of the school-cooks and custodians. Providing a nutritious lunch, the cooks enabled students to have a variety of choices. Everyday features in the cafeteria were hamburgers, fish buns, corn dogs, soup, sweet rolls, and cookies. Along with this was milk and a hot lunch. There was also the breakfast program served from 7:40 to 8:00 with a menu of milk, juice, and roll. The custodians, in their care for the school, performed a significant part of the school. With their help, the school was kept in good condition. RIGHT: George Vaughn enters his next room in style.
