Drunk To Me Only Wlth Thlne Eyes Mother Thus IS Harold Be careful what you say ID front af the children' Goodmght Olnve The two other children were Ruthie and Oluve CYvonne Drawbaugh and Ealeen Helkesl respectively who were always asking the wrong questions at the wrong time Some nevghbors were Carla lLons Dagnelll a young Mexican woman and Rev Wilson llien Grlestl who lost his chour surpllces and caused excntement at the engage ment party Ernie Yost played Clem the streetcar drnver and gained a wife one of the boarders Mrs Lynch a wndow was the lucky gurl and she was played by Barbara Rahn Mrs Lynch was always doing something to make herself more beautlful and some of her treatments were really provoking The two remaining boarders were Jake played by Donald Cook and Mr Wnllord lRlchard Mlllerl .lake was an old man but by no means grumpy He was as full of lnfe as a man of forty and lust as funny Mr Wnllard was a mysterzous salesman and thought to be a German spy although he turned out to be lust a salesman And last but not least was Evne May the mold played by Joan McKeever She put all the suspicion on Mr Willard but was proved wrong IH the end The play was a story of the endless ups and downs of the boarders neighbors and family The mam actlon of the play had to do wnth Mr Blachmans trynng to find suckers for has enterprnses the effort of Jeffery and Harold to wan Rosemary s hand and the separation and eventual reconculnatlon of Emnly and Jam Blachman Cur play will always be remembered by the class as a lot of fun and enloyment In spate of all the work that went unto lt 29 Where s Jeffrey? 11 - - - 11 11 - - 11 1 11 f - 11 11 ' ' 11 1 1 , . 1 I ' , . The Entire Senior Play Cast Takes A Bow CHICKEN EVERY SUNDAY CHICKEN EVERY SUNDAY, our senior play, will long be remembered by everyone who aided in mak- ing the performances a success, The play was success- ful both tinancially and entertainingly, and the experiences enjoyed by the seniors in doing it will never be forgotten. The three act comedy, written by Julius J. and Philip G. Epstein, was presented on November 22 and 23. The play was centered around Emily Blachman, portrayed by Judy Nesbit, who converted the family home into a boarding house so that they can have a roof over their head and something to eat, when she suspects that her husband, Jim, played by Jim Richwine, will someday go broke even though he was president of the trolley line, bank, and laundry. At the boarding house many exciting things hap- pened-ramance, business transactions. fights and reconciliations. Miss Gilley lConnie Trostle , an old maid school teacher, had a visitor every night, who sneaked up the back stairs. lt happened to be Mr. Robinson played by CRudolph l-lopfi, and they were married secretly. Another romance was centered around Mr. Blachman's daughter, Rosemary, portrayed by Donna Bentz. Harold !'Bill Eurich , a boy from Boston, was very fond of her, but Jeftrey Lawson lDouglas Harteri, finally became her hero and future husband. Jeffrey had a domineering mother, portrayed by Joan Wetzel, who in the end loses control of her son, Emily and Jim had a quarrel over the beautiful Rita Kirby 'Myra Austin , who happened to marry and divorce Mr. Kirby, Tom Spahr, three times. Rita's mother, lBarbara Rosenberger, portraying Millie Moon, was an alcoholic and cm baarder of Mrs. Bloch- man's. Emily and Jim hnally agreed that true love finds a way.
