at Q adm Upon entering Wildanger Field House the night of November 22, 1957, it was easy to see how well the theme of the Junior Prom, Silhouettes , had been carried out. Against the background of the many dif- ferent silhouettes, the gaily swirling couples M J danced to the music of the Russ Berryman orchestra. The white silhouettes of the differ- ent band instruments clearly stood out against the background of black around the stage. The centerpieces on white covered tables L were black wire figures of a dancing couple. g The balloon infested ceiling added to the gaiety of the i957 Junior Prom. ln the lobby, the scene also presented more silhouettes. Pinned to the front of the white punch table, were black silhouettes of three dancing couples. The centerpiece for the punch table was a bouquet of black and white carnations in a low black vase. xfm Taking a peek over the shoulders of co-editors, Marianne Dahl and Peggy Christie, are members of the yearbook staff- Elaine Klosterman, Bonnie Ash, Kay and Janet Van Wormer. The girls watch as Marianne draws up the dummy Noroscope. The dummy is used as a pattern for the entire annual. Gripentrog, for the 1958 ff Deadlines are sometimes harassing to members of Noroscope staff. Charlene Gross, A! The Noroscope staff is faced every year with the task of mak- ing another yearbook. They are enthusiastic about it and they strive to make it ever better than the year before. They rush to meet deadlines and hustle around to identify pictures and to gather details. lt is a tremendous job but when it's done it is a satis- faction to know that they have commemorated the activities of another eventful year at Northern. - 'A-J. -ny., f- . QQ?- 1-iii' Barbara Boros, Mary Breckenridge, Sharon Franks, Nancy Parsons, and Marilyn Hiller, co-workers on the staff, help one another to meet an approaching deadline. . Q ,Lg Comparing the pictures in past Noroscopes with the pictures that will appear in this year's annual are Tom Clutts, Mary Ann Poch, Melissa Bisbee, Sara Sue McCormick, Sue Bender, Jeanette Brown, Barbara Sanford and Erwin Adler. The various pictures, which are posted on the bulletin in the background depict activities of the Vikings 18 Previous annuals stimulate ideas for John Brooks and Larry Baldwin, as they glance through the sports section.
