The Wildcats won against Hartford 44-6; Madison 44-7; Waverly 17-7; and Alma Wabaunsee 39-26. We lost to MDCV 9-15; Lebo 3-36; Herington 15-25; Mission Valley 7-20; and St. Marys 0-25. Early in the season the Wildcats lost two players due to injuries. Senior Defensive End, Dan Eckelberry, and Sophomore Defensive Back, Greg Karr. The Wildcats will be losing seven players but they will have a good experienced team returning next year. Many of the Northern Heights players received All-League, and All-Area Honors for their outstanding play this season. 28 All-League Defensive Team: Mark Walford-Dcfensive Back, Shannon Kimball-Noseguard Second Team All-League Defense: Brian White-Linebacker All-League Offensive Team: Alan Kaniper-Splitend Second Team All-League Offense: Shannon Kimball-Center, Sean McDonald-Tackle All-Area First Team Defense: Mark Walford-Defensive Back All-Area Second Team Defense: Alan Kaniper-Punter All-Area First Team Offense: Shannon Kimball-Center Brad Massey-Honorable Mention Class 3A All-State Quarterback.
