Tia Tenlen is a 17-year-old foreign exchange student from Finland. She lives with George and Sue Evans of Reading. She has really enjoyed being in the United States and going to Northern Heights. Tia said that the United States was so big, the people go so fast, but it’s great. She really enjoys Northern Heights because it is so small and she knows almost all the kids. She said the guys are nice, but they tease a lot. Tia misses her friends the most and plans to attend college after two more years of school in Finalnd. Her advice to everyone is to visit Europe. She feels that everyone should have the experience of traveling and meeting new people, and as you get older always have fun. She also said thanks for a great year. Patricia Silvia Cavalcante is an 18-year-old foreign exchange student from Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil. She lives with the family of Robert Sattler in Reading. She thinks the United States is a wonderful country and the people of N.H.H.S. are great. She thinks the United States and the N.H. guys are very different. Patricia misses her family, friends, and her dog. After leaving America she plans to attend college. She would like Americans to continue being the marvelous people that they are and not permit hatred to enter their hearts.
