Polaris Style Show Hearts of Fashion was the theme of the annual Polaris Style Show, which was held on Valentines Day this year. Thirteen girls participated in the show. The Family Living class prepared the delicious cake and punch which was en- joyed while waiting for the announcement of the winners. First place went to Mary Hansen; second to Susan Weaver and third place went to Sharon Stinson.

February 8, 1974, marked a mem- orable event for Miss Janet McAntee, who was crowned as 1974 Queen of Courts by last years queen, Karen Schlesener Calhoun, Janet, a junior, was attended by Miss Mary Hansen, senior; and Miss Peggy Winter, senior. They were escorted by Rod Maxwell, senior; Scott Oliver, senior; Tom Lef- fler, senior; and Kenny Rhudy, junior. Rod Maxwell was announced as King at the dance after the game.

FBLA The purpose of the Future Busi- ness Leaders of America is to pre- pare high school students who are interested in making their career as a businessman or woman and to in- troduce them to projects to help other people. A turkey was sent to the Hillcrest Rest Home for Thanks- giving. The FBLA participated this year in a field trip to Procter Gamble, General Motors, and Elec- tronic Computer Programming Insti- tute in K.C., a service project making typewriter and adding ma- chine covers, collecting for the March of Dimes, and the State Convention. At State, Juanita Weeks was elected Region III Vice- President, and the club received the Golden Seal Award.
