HAROLD BENTLEY, President of the College B.A., Penn College; B.D., Hartford Seminary; S.T.M., Boston University Our college was founded in October 1960, when your President was appointed. Since that time, many significant events have taken place. A great number of stu- dents have given of themselves to improve their educational outreach here in this old building. We have graduated two classes in the past two years. This year many of our former students are graduating from the next college to which they were transferred. A very fine group of teachers have moved into our college life and have given much in leadership and influence. Throughout the entire college a sense of expectancy is slowly developing. Now that we have received the grant of 1 1 1 acres by the city hall of Haverhill, we are assured of an imposing site for the great new college that is slowly moving towards us down through the years. What a pleasure it is to share in this great enterprise where we meet in a common search for knowledge and in a mutual development of understanding and concern for those values that make life truly worth living. The students who graduate this year will carry with them a full measure of pride as they leave this college. They will be able to walk in dignity and in self-reliance because they have accomplished so much that five years ago was not even in their dreams. The entire staff of the college wishes you well. We are all grateful to have shared in your joys and even in your tribulations during the past two years. HAROLD BENTLEY President 18
