' LIST OF COURSES All courses are listed by departments, which are arranged in alphabetical order. Courses are numbered to show their position in the various curricula and to indicate prerequisites. For example, Ed. 9561s, 4-4, indicates Educational Sociology, offered in the sixth year after graduation from the eighth grade, in the first quarter of the regular school yead. The first four indicates the number of days per week, and the sec- ond four the number of quarter-hours credit. The asterisk indicates that the work may be taken for the entire quarter or for either half, the credit being divided, in case it is taken for five weeks only. When the quarter in which the work is to be taken is not essential, it is indicated by O.
