Dear Seniors, This yearbook will often be a reminder of many things. I hope in the years ahead it will bring to mind a happy, wonderful and productive period in your life. Glancing through the pages even as little as five years from now, memories will be stirred, hopes will be recalled, accomplishments will be remembered. In writing this little farewell note let me say thank you for allowing me and the faculty to be a part of this very special time in your life. Many years ago we elected as our vocation one which dedicates itself to the education of young people and to their preparation for a meaningful and rewarding adult life. Now as you pass through and on your way, we pray that we have succeeded in helping you achieve meaningful goals. My best wishes go with you and someday, in the not too distant future, may I share with you the fond mem- ories I have of the Class of 1976. Norman V. Kavanaugh High School Principal 27

Whittier once wrote And step by step, since time began I see the steady gain of man. These immortal words I have seen in you, the Class of 1976. As your District Principal I am proud of your evolution and your accomplishments. I wish each of you happiness. Happiness, itself, is a most elusive state and none can say where it is to be found —but good health, good friends and good works are more likely to produce it than anything else and so I wish you all three. As you approach this most essential plateau of life, memories of Northern Adirondack will remain with you— memories of friends, memories of joy, memories of success. Your past four years have been busy, happy, and profitable to the degree that you have achieved from Northern Adirondack the wisdom, skill, enthusiasm and ideals which were yours for the taking. What you do with these will now determine your future. May I conclude by offering my sincere congratulations to each of you in the Class of 1976 and wish you a pro- fitable future. Profitable not only to you, but profitable to all with whom you come in contact. 26 John C. Harcharek District Principal
