president S meSAaae It is a pleasure to extend my congratulations to the Class of 1967 upon the occasion of your graduation from Northeastern. Although this is a long-awaited event, I am sure you realize that it is but a stepping stone in the life-long process of education. As students at Northeastern, you have seen your University grow in size and academic stature. You are fortunate that you have had an education characterized by frequent ex- posure to the problems of modern society. Through Cooperative Education you have gained a unique insight into the job that lies ahead. Society awaits your fine talents. As you go forth, you will soon find that edu- cation can be a hard taskmaster. It creates an unquenchable thirst to know more in order to serve more, for one of the end pro- ductions of education is service. You are be- ginning your careers at a time of unlimited opportunities for service. Accept the chal- lenges before you and in so doing, May the road rise with you . . .
