By Jerry Wishnow Barry Koslow White buildings, a crowded quadrangle and a stack of I.B.M. cards were the official greeters of our class on that bright September day in 1961. Yet this reception was no exception to any class. We soon found our way through the crowds to a classroom with uncomfortable seats, a long line at the bookstore and first in a series of orienta- Prof. Davis tion sessions in the auditorium. We were more than two thousand strong, and brought a record amount of scholarships, co-eds and problems to the Miracle on Huntington Avenue. We met our first real friend . . . Professor Ronald C. Crisp air . . . Fall was a great time to be in school. A $40,000,000 development program was an- nounced by President Knowles, giving Boston and us the first hint of a white brick Back Bay. We were now a real part of the campus life as we experienced our first mayoralty campaign and homecoming, and watched the Husky basketball team jump into the national spotlight by partici- pating in the NCAA College Finals in Evansville, Indiana. 00P?
