12 In the freshness and innocence of our youth, we threw ourselves into the cauldron of this university. There were individuals ivho rose as leaders from the crowd; there were those who worked and followed quietly and without recognition, each according to the dictates of ability, desire, personality and personal value. Thus, Northeastern is many different things to many people, but to all, it will always bring to mind, not just a time of scholastic and social challenge, but a time when the sweetness and fullness of life, and perhaps some of the bitterness also, reached out and echoed into our unformed character. Thus, we spill forth from this cauldron, to go separate ways and to meet new challenges, but the ties are formed and binding. For we spent together, under the shelter of this, our Alma Mater, our golden days.
