Home economics is a program that is designed to give each girl an opportunity to learn the basic skills ot homemaking. This course does not consist ot lust sewing and cooking. The scope and sequence chart which is now being followed, coordinates all aspects of home- making into a six-year program. The girls are encouraged to display their handiwork at the York Fair and the State Farm Show. The depart- ment also sponsors baking contests. Girls learn sewing techniques.
