Junior Varsity The girls did even better than I expected them to, commented Coach Koger about the beginning gymnastics team. Outstanding gym- nasts for 1982 are Kathy Rayborn - vault, Tina Hubble - beam and barsg and Laura Redmyer - floor and bars. The three girls should be good on the intermediate team next year. Time Moves On - Memories Last Forever A yearbook is a memory book, a setting down in print and picture the story of the current year. When this is done successfully, the events are for- ever fresh and new, the people pictured forever young, forever beautiful. The yearbook staff, photographers and advisor have done their best to create a yearbook that tells the story of the 1981-82 school year of North- eastem J unior-Senior High School. For there is much to tell, the story of a year that will remain forever a part of the lives of . . . students, teachers and co- workers. The story this yearbook tells is our story . . . of the people, by the people and for the people . . . of US in our times and our year. Today time moves swiftly on. The future beckons us and we may pause only briefly to dwell upon our year as we lived it here . . . in this volume. Each page of this book is filled with l56lEpilogue those special moments where time slipped by, but the memory will last a lifetime. I would now like to take this oppor- tunity to thank all the staff members and especially our advisor, Mr. Gary Cole. It was their hard work and deter- mination that made this yearbook pos- sible. There were times when we all felt like giving up, but with a lot of patience and dedication we pulled through. Room 6 is silent now. The type- writers are in their cases, pens and notebooks are stashed away, and the liquid paper cap is sealed tightly shut. We have made it- THIS is our crea- tion. I thank you all . . , Bd Beth Barker 1982 Editor fs 1 1982 Lance S taff Editor Beth Barker Daily Life Julie Jackson' Julie Collett Senior Linda Malyberry' Michelle amey Underclass Jerr Urich' Debbie Fisher Academics Barb Coddington' ' Sherri Berry Sports Mike Lipscomb' ' Belinda Cohee Steve Williams Clubs Pat Benner Lori Ward' ' Ads Vicki Wogoman' Chief Photographer Mike Bossert Photographers Nan Langley Micci Townsend Mike Benge Gary Nunn Bob Conyers John Russell Advisor Gary Cole 'Editors Mid-term seniors ..,,. ., 71,1 A - 1 ,.
