Under Miss Hoar's supervision and direction, they presented a clev- er program Jubilee night in their production of f'Rip Van VVinkle's Dreams. The dancing program for the first half of this year consisted of the study of the simplified Russian hal- let, folk dancing, technique, clog dancing, and interpre- tive dancing in which the girls composed their own dances to certain types of music. The latter part of the course included character dancing and the panto- mime including the characterization of Mother Goose rhymes. Miss Hoar has had charge of approximately four hundred girls in both her own and Miss O'Keefe's classes. The 1926 dancing classes have been conducted by Miss Hoar with the goal in mind of developing to the fullest extent its physical, social, and corrective values. Dancing not only afford's wholesome exercise for the girls but is also recognized as the best means of developing a symmetrical physique.
