MAJORETTES Giving a spark of glamour to the Viking Band is the 1959-1960 maiorette corps, nine lovely twirlers. These girls, chosen on the basis of grace, personality, appearance, and twirling ability, have performed at all functions involving the Northeast Marching Band. While maintaining positions of partici- pating bandsmen, the maiorettes have de- veloped their twirling skills to an extent which earned them the rank of superior in the district and state contests.
