The crack of the bat against cowhide, and the slap of base' balls on gloves opened the l958 baseball season for our hearty diamond keepers. Coached by a skillful baseball strategist, Mr. Charles Kaelber, our boys did a remarkable job in both con- ference and intra-city contest. This year we were most fortunate as we had several returning letterrnen. They not only gave the rookies moral support but also passed on to them many pointers learned through the School of Hard Knocks .
