Macon offers a glimpse of the past in an up- town, upbeat commercial center. To make life comfortable and convenient, Macon has many shopping areas, most within a short distance from the heavily populated areas. Opposite Page: Cars flow up Cotton Avenue past the Confederate Monument toward City Hall. Top: A popular new restaurant called Roberts opened across the street from the newly-renovated Terminal Station, now the home of Georgia Power.
