For thirteen years Bill Meriwether, photographer, has given unselfish support to the Northeast Complex. It becomes unquestionably right to dedicate the 1978 VALHALLA to Bill Meriwether for his devotion to the Northeast Complex, his interest in secondary education, and to students in general. His ‘‘Merry Christmas’’ greeting has become a badge of identification that is singular to Bill Meriwether. With this dedication the VALHALLA Staff hopes that our true feel- ings and affection can be expressed, for words alone are often not enough. She was recently named as winner of the National Council of Teachers of English Writing Award. Jesse E. Wrice, Jr. Jesse is President of the Student Council and Student Advisor to the Senior Class Officers. He is also Treasurer of the National Honor Society, a participant in the JROTC Drill Team, and Manager of the Boys’ Basketball Team. In addition, Jesse is a member of the Physics Club, Science Club, and Mu Alpha Theta National Mathematics Club. Jesse won Second Place in the Georgia Jaycees Good Cit- izen Program and attended the American Legion Boys' State. He was named as Who's Who Among American High School Students. Steven M. Crosby Steve is a member of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta National Mathematics Club. Senior Vernita M. Scott Vernita is Secretary of the National Honor Society, a Laboratory Assistant, and Drum Major for the band. She is also a member of the Phys- ics Club and Mu Alpha Theta National Mathematics Club. In addition, Vernita is a partic- ipant in the Studies in Man- kind program for the gifted. Superlatives Robin L. Sanders Robin is a member of the National HonorSociety and the French Club. She was a nominee in the Soroptimist International Youth Citizen- ship Awards. Harold L. Perdue, Jr. Lee is Student Advisor for the VALHALLA Staff, having served as Editor-in-Chief last year. He is Senior Class Rep- resentative for the National Honor Society, Corresponding Secretary of the Science Club, and a Laboratory Assistant.
