What do teachers do outside of activities di- rectly connected with teaching? Many are officers of professional and community organizations. Mrs. Helen Krause is the vice-president of the Lincoln Teachers Association. Mr. Mason is presi- dent of the English section of District I, NSEA. Miss Isabelle Smith attended the convention of the National Council of Teachers of English in Chicago at Thanksgiving. There she heard, among other interesting speakers, John Warriner, author of the senior composition text. Mr. Galloway was se- lected to be alternate to the Delegate Assembly of the Nebraska State Activities Associatioin this year. Family life, church and hobbies take up the rest of their spare time. Summers are filled with travel, jobs, school, or just relaxing. The life of a teacher is demanding and varied, but few would change.
