Receiving second place on final day of judging was ample reward for their diligent work. Twice a day practice was no fun, especial- ly in the sweltering heatg but the first pep as- sembly was a big challenge to show the student body what they had learned and how they put it to use. Honk parades, pep assemblies and pep rallies were just a few ofthe spirit-raising ac- tivities planned by the cheerleaders for the student body's participation. The cheerleaders were always there, whether ahead or behind, to give a cheer to back the teams and help Northeast hold their victories.
