OLGA TROCHTA JACKIE VAUGHN CATHERINE WAGNER BEVERLY WARD BLONDINA WELCH DOROTHY WHEELER Well, here we are JUNIORS. 164 strong Not long now until that big day when we can proudly say we have finished high school! To head this most famous class we have Jim Miller, president; Bob Gentry, vice-president; Harry Wright, secretary; and Clyde LaGrone. treasurer. And you will notice that a junior. Betty Stewart, is assistant editor of Nordlys. However, we have really gone places. Northeast sports just wouldn’t have made the grade without those good ole juniors. Take football, for instance, the best game of all. We have as co-captains for next year Jimmy Miller and Billy McDonald Bobby Anderson. Bob Gentry. Walter Goodner. Larry Hedinger. Gene Price, and Harry Wright really spark up the team, too. And who is high stepping at all these games? Why naturally, a junior. Ruth Simmons, band queen. And then that extra special favorite sport — basket- ball!! And who practically takes over the team — of course — the juniors, such as Dean Garrison. Bob Hen- drick. Clyde LaGrone. Jim Miller, and Dean McNealy! Now can anyone blame us for being proud of our athletes??? Bill Beals. Marjorie Cassady, Anna Mae Gilmore. Sher- man Hope, Clyde LaGrone. Clara Ramsey. Lynn Wilhite, and Elizabeth Young are on the National Honor Society Roll. Marking their way in the Play Production Class are Bryce Baggett. Bob Maples, Clara Ramsey, and Don Brazeal. Now that we are just about to become seniors we still like to have one special memory, such as the won- derful Junior-Senior prom we worked so hard for — but it was worth it because as you know it was the best ever given. The people that spent their valuable time on the prom committee were Jim Miller. Helen Hurst. Dorothy Berwinkle. Bill Beals. Patty Easley. Clara Adkins. Gene Price. Bob Maples. Margaret Lininger. Joe Beard, and Carolyn Hill. So here’s to the class of ’50! Good luck. Juniors! 24
