0I QlfUOI Wordsworth once wrote, The music in my heart I bore, long after it was heard no more. So it is with us high school students, we do our daily tasks with the popular songs of the present on our tongues, but bear- ing in our hearts the lingering melodies of yesteryear. That Music is the universal language of man- kind is irrefutable. Deep Purple, Clair De Lune, Star- dust, or the latest dance version of The Gypsy all have their definite places and associations in our hearts and lives. When the gang gets together for a party, or we go for a walk, it does not take long for our favorite songs to come to the foreground with the cup of in- dividual expression running over, be the gang from Oklahoma or Deep ln The Heart of Texas. It was with these thoughts that The Nordlys staff selected Favorite Songs for the theme of this year's book, observing the school's Tentl- Anniversary.
