These students are looking forward to their senior year, and many are giving careful consideration to the choice of a career. This class elected as its officers the following: President, Richard Treckellp Vice-President, Donald Chapin, Secretary, Nancy Wasson, Treasurer, Io Ann Lusbyp Sergeant at Arms, Suzanna Brown, Gittorian, Donald Hatfield, and Reporter, Donald Best. They acted as a committee to help plan one of the most im- portant social events of the year, the lunior- Senior Prom. Another happy incident in the lite oi the Iuniors is the day they order their Senior Class rings and pins, for they realize that they are now about to reach the dignity of being called SENIOBS. 27

This program enables students to earn their high school diplomas and at the same time gain actual work experience. These studem attend school in the morning and, from Mr. Roedl, receive classroom instruction on how most effectively to handle their jobs. They leave school at noon to go to their places of employment. CEIFCCI' S The careers class helps students in choosing the vocation for which they are best suited. The requirements, preparation, and rewards of each occupation are analyzed, thus providing an excellent opportunity for careful and wise se- lection. These student lead- ers count the lunior Officer ballots, help plan the Iunior-Senior Prom, the last social event to be held before the seniors leave, and spon- sor a Senior assembly consisting of many types of dramatic talent. Donald Childs was chosen as class Presi- dent. Tops in basketball and in making friends, he is always ready with a smile for everyone. As Vice-President of the class, towering Nugent Adams literally fills his position. 28 The fun-loving Patricia Hayes handles the job of class Secretary. Orlo Enyeart, whose quiet good nature has been noticed by all, is class Treasurer. The role of Giftorian is played by Iosephine Banallo. This peppy girl has numerous and varied activities. Iohn Dods is class Reporter and, on the Senior Ballot, was voted the boy who has done the most for Northeast.
