STUDENT COUNCIL The purpose of our school is to prepare the individual for lite in a democratic United States. Groups Within school, functioning in a demo- cratic manner, acquaint the individual with his rights and his restrictions. The student council elects a president to conduct all its meetings, and a secretary to re- cord the actions ot the meetings. Representa- tives, chosen by popular vote in their home rooms, constitute the student council member- ship, and at the Weekly meetings, present to the council the opinions held by members ot their home rooms concerning school problems. Through meetings ot all-city student council representatives, each school keeps informed about what is being done in other schools.
