Student Council Student Council officers are Jerry Davis, president, Tom Hicks, vice presi- dent, Leslie Young, secretary, and Peggy Downey, treasurer. The advisor is Mr. Thomas Getzendanner. Northeast’s Student Council is essen- tial to the promotion of scholastic rela- tionships between the students and the administration and faculty in the school. This group performs many func- tions throughout the school year. At Christmas a party was given for the chil- dren at the Villa Maria Orphanage. A dance featuring Kirby Scott was a com- plete sellout. The “Keep Northeast Neat” Committee encourages students to take pride in their school. The Coun- cil bought a heavy-duty vacuum to keep the grounds and parking lots free of glass and other debris.
