CLASS OF SIXTY-EIGHT In 1965 we came to Northeast as lost and confused sophomores. We made new friends, joined some activities, and elected Sue Miller, graduating this year from Arundel, as our class president. Although we outnumbered the Juniors, the Juniors by no means let us forget our place. By the end of our first year in high school we had had a variety show, our most successful project of that year. The summer flew by and we stepped into the new year with more confidence. We were no longer low man on the totem pole; there was a new Sophomore class under us. Roy Skiles was elected to lead us; our school rings arrived; we started the traditional Christmas Dance; we converted the gym into a real “Paradise Isle —our Junior year was a great success. We entered our final year as high school students with one thought in mind- only one more year! Our officers led us through many fund-raising activities for our senior prom and banquet. We collected dues, conducted a paper drive, breezed through a Junior-Senior basketball game, had a Senior Class play and a Senior bermuda day. We struggled through exams and made final preparations for jobs or college. Thoughts of our senior prom, banquet, and other spring ac- tivities were utmost in our minds. June 2, 1968, the long awaited graduation day finally arrived. We received our diplomas, cried and said goodbye to friends we had known most of our lives. At last we were Graduates!
